Little children running around the station should not be exposed to open alcohol.
The board got angry with ME because I "filed too many complaints" (on them...NOT ENOUGH!) ...this one takes the cake, not in the by-laws, not in the policies and procedures...
Who do they think they are?
Frankie Delucia?
Too many complaints!
That's because this professional plays by the rules.
Look at what just landed in my mailbox!
By the way, Dave is one of the good guys; calls himself "Switzerland." People like that are terrific, and he is light years ahead of the previous individual who held that position, another crony who was more interested in self than the membership.
I will ONLY return to Somerville if there are changes in Staff and the Board, specifically,
Fallon, Guillermo, Lynch and Burke have to be removed.
Look, I like Dan Burke, he did a great job on the quasi Boston Free Radio board taking meeting minutes, but he simply does not have the qualifications to be on a board of directors, in the opinion of this 64 year old veteran of access TV dating back to 1979 in Somerville.
Mr. Burke does a good show, but the responsibilities of being on the board is way above the "pay grade" - so to speak - of many on the Somerville board and it is quickly descending into TV3 Medford land, which is a curse.
Remove four board members and three staffers and I will consider coming back. Other than that, the reporting to the offices of the Attorney General, MCAD and other avenues shall begin.
Looks like a board member won't be leaving open alcohol in editing suites any time soon.
But why did it come to this?
Because the board didn't like reports on their own board members, Ronnie, Frankie, Arthur.
We've been to this rodeo before, and if y'all recall, I shut down the damn TV3.
What do you think is in store for Somerville Media Center if the alleged sexual harassment,
alleged theft of a newsletter, and other misdeeds continue?
Remember, Dave Ortega is one of the good guys, a GREAT guy, professional, not in your face, and minds his own business. Wow. How refreshing.
